On July 23, 1984 the WWF’s “The Brawl to End It All” took place in front of 23,416 fans at Madison Square Garden. The show was a major event in the Rock 'n' Wrestling Connection in the mid-1980s WWF. The main event featured The Fabulous Moolah defending the WWF Women's Championship against Wendi Richter. Richter pinned Moolah to win the Women's Championship. In his first WWF Heavyweight Championship defense at Madison Square Garden, Hulk Hogan defeated “Mr. Wonderful” Paul Orndorff by count-out in front of 22,092 fans.
