This #EarthDay I'm grateful to have been able to experience the awe-inspiring landscapes of Alaska and meet some of the people who are stewards of these lands like Anna Sattler, for whom foraging for native ingredients is one way she connects to her Yup'ik roots. She invited me along to gather berries outside of Anchorage and we made a traditional native treat, Akutaq, also known as Alaskan Ice Cream. Whipping the fat for it reminded me of making flour tortillas and tamales! It's an honor to be
