🤝KiwiRail and Greater Wellington are working together to bring new battery electric trains to the Wairarapa and Manawatū lines from 2029. 💪They will be faster and run on a more frequent timetable, giving commuters more choice, better reliability, and all the mod cons that come with a newly built passenger train. 👷‍♀️Work to make the line ready for the new trains and increased services is also well underway.
