Gordon Blossom is a 103-year-old Master Hunter. Washington’s Master Hunters donate approximately 13,000 hours on wildlife related volunteer projects (valued at $390,000) annually. Gordon has been a Master Hunter for several years, and has contributed hundreds of volunteer hours. From building fences to cleaning up trash in Kittitas County, Gordon is an excellent example of the Master Hunter Permit Program’s community contributions. Fall isn’t just for hunting in Eastern Washington Staff at the Spokane Hatchery, as well as other Eastern Washington hatcheries, started stocking local lakes this week with trout. From October to November each year, 55 truckloads of fish- like this one delivered to Rock Lake yesterday- are put into area lakes in WDFW's Region 1. While these fish are small now, they will be a nice size for catching in the spring. And the fish planted last spring are biting now because trout prefer cooler water te
