On March 14, 1999 the 5th annual WCW Uncensored took place in front of 15,930 fans at Freedom Hall in Louisville, Kentucky. The main event was a barbed wire steel cage, first blood, match, for the WCW World Heavyweight Championship as Hollywood Hogan took on “The Nature Boy” Ric Flair. Prior to the match, Flair agreed that should Hogan win, Flair would retire, however if Flair would win, he would be named WCW President for life. Flair would become World Heavyweight Champion for the 14th time. |

On July 12, 1999 WCW Monday Nitro aired on TNT from the Jacksonville Coliseum in Jacksonville, Florida. Just one day after winning the WCW World Heavyweight Championship at Bash at the Beach, “Macho Man” Randy Savage challenges “anybody” in the back to take the title from him. A returning Hollywood Hulk Hogan accepts Savage’s challenge. Hogan would go on to defeat Randy Savage that night to win the WCW World Heavyweight Championship for the sixth and final time. In the main event, Hulk Hogan & Bill Goldberg took on Sid Vicious, Diamond Dallas Page & Rick Steiner in a handicap steel cage match. Against the advice of Lex Luger, Sting would come to the aid of Hogan & Goldberg to even the score.
