Hector Storm: the worlds most consistent thunderstorm

Hector — the world’s largest and most predictable thunderstorm — forms almost daily over the Tiwi Islands during the tropical buildup. I began this project as a stills-based exhibition series, drawn to the storm’s immense scale and presence. Over time, the work evolved into timelapse cinematography to more fully capture its life cycle and unfolding drama.
