Remembering the wonderful Kirsty MacColl who was taken too soon 24 years ago. Kirsty first came to the attention of Stiff Records in 1978 while singing back up for a punk act, and her 1979 debut single "They Don't Know" was the start of a string of hits. She was also a regular backing singer for artists produced or engineered by her husband, Steve Lillywhite, including Robert Plant, The Smiths, Alison Moyet, Shriekback, Simple Minds, Talking Heads, Big Country, Anni-Frid Lyngstad and The Wonder
