Flora MacDonald helped Bonnie Prince Charlie escape to the Isle of Skye on his way to France in 1746, after his defeat at the Battle of Culloden. The first steps in Scottish Highland dancing, Pas de Basque and High Cuts, performed by some of the youngest members of the Lindsay School of Dance in Laurencekirk and Stonehaven.
