South Korean police, anti-corruption representatives and the presidential security service met Tuesday to coordinate the execution of a new arrest attempt on suspended President Yoon Suk-yeol after the first failed in early January.

After a nearly six-hour standoff with the presidential security service, South Korean investigators failed to detain impeached President Yoon Suk Yeol.

Yoon, the country’s first sitting president to be apprehended, now faces the prospect of a lengthy prison term over potential rebellion charges.
