A former police officer who stormed the U.S. Capitol with fellow members of the Proud Boys extremist group has been sentenced to 14 months in prison.

The Apopka, Florida, native traveled with his father Kevin, 52, who was employed as a police officer at the time of the riot, to Washington, D.C.

Over 1,500 individuals have faced charges connected to the Capitol riot, including dozens of leaders, members and associates of the far-right Proud Boys group.
