Kevin Estre believes winning the 2025 24 Hours of Le Mans from the back of the Hypercar grid is “doable” after the No.6 Porsche Penske was thrown out of qualifying. The No.6 car, which was on pole last year in the hands of Estre, made it safely into Thursday’s Hyperpole session at Le Mans after Wednesday’s initial qualifying.

The No. 4 Porsche, where Felipe Nasr and Nick Tandy will try to add a Le Mans victory to wins in the Rolex 24 at Daytona and Sebring 12-Hour, starts fifth. Laurens Vanthoor, starting 21st in the No. 6, will also try to complete endurance racing’s triple after co-driving with Nasr and Tandy in Daytona and Sebring.

In LMGT3, no fewer than four cars from three different brands went faster than the quickest qualifying time from yesterday. Zacharie Robichon's #27 Heart of Racing Aston Martin set the pace with a 3m55.897s lap, 0.037s better than Riccardo Pera's #92 Porsche entered by Manthey.
