A pilot who regularly captained the same Air India Boeing 787 that crashed in Ahmedabad on Thursday, killing all but one of the 242 people on board, has theorized what could have caused the fatal incident.

The Federal Aviation Administration issued a ground stop for Seattle-Tacoma International Airport Saturday afternoon because of a security threat on a plane bound for Walla Walla. As of 1 p.m., flights scheduled to arrive at Sea-Tac were circling or being diverted to other airports, according to data from the flight-tracking company FlightRadar24.
