The former sheriff of Osceola County, Marcos Lopez, has a court hearing scheduled for Wednesday in Lake County, as per court records.

Former Osceola County Sheriff Marcos Lopez is scheduled to appear for a hearing on Wednesday, according to Lake county clerk of courts website.

Lopez’s scheduled arraignment is on June 30 at 8:30 a.m.

"Osceola County, FL Sheriff Marcos Lopez was arrested by Homeland Security Investigations for his involvement in an illegal gambling operation in central Florida that generated more than $20 million in profits. Lopez is charged with racketeering and conspiracy to commit racketeering.

Former Osceola County Sheriff Marcos Lopez's court hearing that was scheduled for Wednesday, June 11 has been canceled, according to court documents.

Suspended Osceola County Sheriff Marcos Lopez is still in the Lake County Jail. Only Channel 9 was there on Thursday when federal and state authorities took him into custody on racketeering charges. Lopez is being held on a $1 million bond.
