Warner Bros. has dominated at the box office in April as “A Minecraft Movie” and “Sinners” continue to shatter expectations. Over the weekend, “Minecraft” collected $37.8 million overseas and $60.5 million worldwide in its fourth weekend of release.

"Sinners" hopes to keep the box office crown for its second weekend of release, but new contenders may shake things up including a 20th anniversary "Star Wars" rerelease.

Distribution execs across town are going nuts about Warner Bros’ Sinners. The conservative estimate is that it lands with a $30M second weekend at 3,347, but don’t be shocked if there’s much more, potentially even a -17% to -26% ease ($35M-$40M) as the demos for the films broadens out well beyond horror fans.
