In last night's game between the Edmonton Oilers and Minnesota Wild, Connor McDavid connected an elbow to the head of with Marcus Johansson, and is being called out for it.

This is not the first time that McDavid has faced disciplinary action. He served a two-game suspension in February 2019 for a hit to the head on then-New York Islanders defenseman Nick Leddy. Additionally, he was fined $5,000 in March 2021.

Edmonton Oilers captain Connor McDavid received a three-game suspension for cross-checking Vancouver Canucks forward Conor Garland in the head. The NHL explained that the cross-check to Garland’s head had “sufficient force to merit supplemental discipline” and McDavid will not launched an appeal of the Department of Player Safety’s decision.
