With the future of Cincinnati Bengals edge rusher Trey Hendrickson uncertain, one NFL analyst sees the team eventually trading the four-time Pro Bowler to the Chicago Bears this offseason.

The Chicago Bears need to add a significant pass rushing presence this offseason will be on full display along with the front office retooling the offensive line.

Hendrickson has made the Pro Bowl in each of his first four seasons with the Bengals and is coming off his second straight season with 17.5 sacks, an NFL-leading mark in 2024. But with just one year left on his current contract — and no guaranteed money remaining — he could insist upon a new deal for 2025.

"The Bengals need to free up cap space to get deals done with wide receivers Ja’Marr Chase and Tee Higgins," Woodroof wrote. "Trading Hendrickson away and landing his replacement in the 2025 NFL Draft could be a possibility to save money."
