The eldest son of Norway's crown princess has been charged with 32 offences, including four counts of rape, a prosecutor says. The charges against Marius Borg Høiby, 28, include the abuse of a former partner and violations of restraining orders against another former partner.

Defense attorney Petar Sekulic said in an emailed response to the indictment that “our client denies all charges of sexual abuse, as well as the majority of the charges regarding violence.”

"The maximum penalty for the offences listed in the indictment is imprisonment of up to 10 years," he said.
