The move comes after Trump warned he would further restrict immigration into the U.S. following the arrest of an Afghan national in connection with the shooting of two National Guard members on the eve of Thanksgiving, one of whom died. The suspect has pleaded not guilty to murder and assault charges.

The new proclamation is an addition to earlier list of 19 countries, which faced either complete travel ban or partial entry restrictions.

Full-entry restrictions will be imposed on people from Burkina Faso, Mali, Niger, South Sudan and Syria as well as Palestinian Authority passport holders.
