Casey Wasserman, a Los Angeles entertainment executive and chair of the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics whose name recently surfaced in the Epstein files, said late Friday he has started the process of selling the talent agency he founded more than two decades ago.

LOS ANGELES (AP) — Casey Wasserman, the chairman of the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics organizing committee, is selling his eponymous talent agency in the wake of the release of emails between himself and Ghislaine Maxwell.

Casey Wasserman has announced the sale of Wasserman Media Group following the release of 2003 emails with Ghislaine Maxwell and the departure of star clients.

The business of sports rarely slows down for optics. But when one of the most powerful figures, such as Casey Wasserman, makes a sudden structural move just years before the Olympic Games, it raises a bigger question.

Wasserman also leads LA28, the nonprofit that's bringing the Summer Olympics to Los Angeles in 2028.
