A 17-year-old hiker burned his foot and ankle while hiking in a thermal area near Old Faithful in Yellowstone National Park, officials said. A 17-year-old boy suffered "significant thermal burns" during a hike near Old Faithful, Yellowstone National Park officials said in a press release.

The teenager was on a hike southeast of Old Faithful when the incident occurred, according to a Park Service news release.
