TOLEDO, Ohio (WTVG) - Ohio’s Treasurer is throwing his hat in the ring to be Ohio’s next governor. Treasurer Robert Sprague, a Republican, officially filed paperwork Friday for a gubernatorial run. Sprague, from Findlay, teased his 2026 campaign on social media Friday.
“I was born in Virginia in 1920 on January 17. Now, I’ll be 105,” she said. Not long after she was born her parents moved to Kentucky and then Tennessee. Willis eventually made her way to Ohio as a young woman. “When did you come to Toledo? I’ve been here ever since they changed the street cars to buses,” Willis said.
