The Lions have 7 players slated to participate in this week's Pro Bowl games, including Taylor Decker, Jared Goff and Jahmyr Gibbs

After withdrawing due to injury, left tackle Taylor Decker will step in and travel to Orlando, Florida for this year's annual competition. It will be the veteran's first appearance. This year, Brain Branch and Jahmyr Gibbs earned their first Pro Bowl nominations.

With the Detroit Lions' 2025 season getting further into the rearview mirror, it's time to evaluate the season that was with final position grades.

The Detroit Lions' 2024 season is now in the books. It did not end the way that everyone hoped it would. The Lions Super Bowl aspirations fell short again.  The Lions now head to the offseason looking to get healthy and looking to build a team that can go out and get themselves back to the playoffs again in 2025.

The Lions had seven players make the initial roster for the Pro Bowl — quarterback Jared Goff, running back Jahmyr Gibbs, wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown, center Frank Ragnow, Sewell, safety Brian Branch and punter Jack Fox — and had 11 players named as alternates.

Pro Bowl Games will officially get underway on Thursday night beginning with the Skills Show between the AFC All-Stars and the NFC All-Stars. New York Giants nose tackle Dexter Lawrence and wide receiver Malik Nabers,

Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow, making his first Pro Bowl appearance after his second career selection, took part in the "passing the test" competition, posting 27 points. The event features quarterbacks trying to hit targets at various distances around the field worth different point values in 40 seconds.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Baker Mayfield is making the Pro Bowl games after all. Mayfield was largely considered a snub when the NFC's three quarterbacks

The Jaguars and Lions were tracking almost identically until about 14 months ago, but Detroit's build had a much sturdier foundation.
