A July Fourth weekend deluge in Texas caused catastrophic flash flooding that has killed at least 89 people. Camp Mystic in Kerr County says Monday morning that it is “grieving the loss” of 27 campers and counselors as the search continues for victims of the disaster.

"Camp Mystic is grieving the loss of 27 campers and counselors following the catastrophic flooding on the Guadalupe River," the camp said in a statement.

The number of people killed in devastating Central Texas floods increased to 90 on Monday as emergency officials continued searching through snapped trees and wrecked homes for missing people, and clouds threatened to dump more rain across the region.
