Tourists have been allowed back to Iceland's Reykjanes Peninsula to witness the magic of the ongoing volcanic eruptions.
Indonesia is an archipelago of more than 280 million people with frequent seismic activity and Sinabung is among more than 120 active volcanoes. The country is prone to seismic upheaval due to its location on the Pacific “Ring of Fire,” an arc of volcanoes and fault lines encircling the Pacific Basin.
Indonesia has reopened its main Jakarta airport and four other airports that had been closed due to volcanic ash from a series of eruptions at Mount Anak Krakatau, transport minister Dudy Purwagandhi said in a statement on Tuesday.
