The KHOU 11 Weather Team has issued a Weather Impact Alert for Saturday and Sunday as rounds of rain, heavy at times, could cause issues on roadways and flooding in some locations. In North Texas, isolated storms will develop on Sunday afternoon and on Memorial Day, according to the NWS. Many parts of the Dallas-Fort Worth area will remain dry, but those that get beneath a storm may observe small hail, gusty winds and heavy rainfall.
As of Wednesday, AccuWeather said the system behind Tuesday’s tornadoes could keep bringing severe weather as it moves east.

The supercell originated in Wichita County around 4 p.m., where the storm quickly broke the capping inversion, allowing the updraft to explode.
