The SmartTag2 costs $15 which is less than most third-party Bluetooth trackers that don’t work with Samsung devices and don’t last as long on battery. For half the price of what the device normally costs, you get 500 days of battery life, IP67 protection, and the ability to control your smart home.
A new leak suggests that Samsung’s Galaxy tri-fold device could be cheaper than first reported. It’s believed that the new device will cost ~$2,446 in its home market instead of ~$2,718. That’s still significantly more expensive than the Galaxy Z Fold 7, though.
The new phone is the latest salvo in Samsung’s long-running battle with Apple, which is expected to introduce its own foldable phone —likely a once-folding model—later next year. Samsung has offered foldable phones since 2019.
Samsung’s first trifold phone marks another escalation in the foldables arms race – and another moment where Apple is conspicuously absent.
