The latest recall is certainly not the first announced by Ford recently. The brand has issued 88 safety recalls in the first half of 2025—more than any other automaker in a full calendar year. Likewise, over the past 10 years, Ford has issued far more recalls than other auto brands, logging 458 recalls between 2015 and 2024.

A massive recall for a faulty fuel pump affects over 850,000 popular vehicles, but Ford has no immediate fix and has ordered dealers to stop all sales.

This recall is one of 89 issued by Ford in 2025 alone, affecting over 5 million vehicles. It follows a similar action earlier this year involving high-pressure fuel pumps in diesel trucks.
