Memorial Day weekend is here and the good news is most people will have three days off from work. The bad news is it's expected to be a wee tad damp in Mississippi for the next several days. So, if you have thoughts of hamburgers and hot dogs on the grill, you may want to have a contingency plan.
Mississippi has been experiencing warm, dry conditions with temperatures reaching into the upper 80s in parts of the state, but a cold front is expected and with it are chances of rain and thunderstorms along with a significant drop in temperatures.
Mississippi will begin the week with days of possible severe weather followed by continued chances of rain into the weekend.
