American moviegoers can prepare for another magical journey through the Mushroom Kingdom as Universal Pictures and Illumination Entertainment officially announce The Super Mario Galaxy Movie, set to arrive in theaters nationwide on April 3, 2026.

Super Mario Galaxy 2 hits North America on May 23, Nintendo of America’s Cammie Dunaway told a group of writers gathered in San Francisco for the Nintendo Summit this morning. Super Mario Galaxy 2 will also be playable at today’s day-long event.

Switch 2 fans have a new Mario Tennis game to look forward to early next year. During Friday's Direct presentation, Nintendo announced Mario Tennis Fever. It's the first new entry in the long-running series since the release of Mario Tennis Aces in 2018.
