Police are working to identify the pedestrian who was fatally struck by a vehicle Wednesday night at an interstate ramp in Nashville.

A $35,000 reward is now being offered for information leading to the arrest of the person responsible for the fatal shooting of a Fisk University student.

Two months after a Fisk University student-athlete was shot and killed along Interstate 65 in Nashville, authorities announced the reward for information has increased.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — A portion of Interstate 65 in North Nashville was closed Sunday morning after a deadly crash involving a pedestrian, according to police. The crash was reported at 2:30 a.m.

Forty-four people have died on Middle Tennessee's interstates in the last two years.
