A Flood Watch remains in effect through Monday evening for multiple Southeast Texas counties.

A flood watch has been issued from Thursday morning until Monday morning as rounds of rain and storms continue into the weekend, increasing flooding concerns in the area.

The Houston region is gearing up for possible severe weather ahead of a storm system expected to trigger a line of thunderstorms.

The KHOU 11 Weather Team has issued a Weather Impact Alert for Saturday and Sunday as rounds of rain, heavy at times, could cause issues on roadways and flooding in some locations. While Friday is expected to bring a temporary break from the rain with some sunshine and only isolated afternoon storms possible,

Friday is expected to be warm and humid with the chance of isolated thunderstorms later in the day. However, flood concerns remain for the weekend.
