American's policy around free Wi-Fi is similar to Delta Air Lines, which was the first legacy carrier in the U.S. to offer free internet across its fleet. Both airlines require enrollment in their loyalty program to access the perk.
Free Wi-Fi is expected to be available to loyalty members on all flights by spring 2026. The free Wi-Fi will be limited to AAdvantage loyalty members, American Airlines said. On flights, passengers can log in with your loyalty account at aainflight.com and select free Wi-Fi to use the free internet.
American Airlines is the latest airline to offer free WiFi for some passengers. It’s now one of the perks of membership. AAdvantage members will be able to access free high-speed WiFi on more than 2 million flights a year. The service is sponsored by AT&T, according to a news release.
The latest airline to launch a stopover program is Jordan’s flag carrier Royal Jordanian Airlines.
