The No. 14 Gators seem to be peeking at just the right time, posting another dominating victory as they led from start to finish in an 86-66 beatdown of Georgia on Wednesday night.
The Florida Gators are rolling through their schedule as March Madness approaches.
In the sixth, Taylor Shumaker stepped up with a runner on and belted a go-ahead RBI double to give the Gators a 6-5 lead, and then Erickson stood at the plate and fired her second homer of the game to take an 8-5 lead. Erickson finished the night going 4 for 4 at the dish, 2 HR, and four runs batted in.
Despite Texas A&M all but gifting Florida basketball first-place on the SEC, there’s no denying the Gators have simply gotten better in their last eight games. Florida (17-6, 8-2 SEC) took down the Aggies 86-67 to own lone possession top spot in the conference for the first time since 2014.
