Firebase added a series of emulation, dashboard, testing and extension updates to its mobile platform at Google I/O 2021.

App Distribution is Firebase’s handy tool for getting pre-release versions of your Android and iOS apps onto trusted tester devices.

Google, which turned Firebase into a broader app development platform in mid-2016, said the platform now is used actively for 2 million apps monthly.
