The first incident occurred in Bad Hofgastein, Salzburg around 12:30 p.m. where a female skier was buried and killed in the Schmugglerscharte area at an elevation of approximately 7,200 feet, according to the Pongau mountain rescue service, AP reported.
Several people have been skiing in the Hoge Veluwe today. The snowy weather has led to children and their parents using the military training area by Soestduinen, known as De Stompert, to practice the sports.
