Seattle Mariners manager Dan Wilson revealed Monday that right-hander George Kirby will start Game 3 of the American League Championship Series against the Toronto Blue Jays when the best-of-seven matchup shifts to the Pacific Northwest.

Scherzer threw a bullpen session Monday, tentatively lining him up to start Game 4 of the ALCS versus the Mariners on Thursday, Arden Zwelling of Sportsnet.ca reports. Both Scherzer and Chris Bassitt were added to the Blue Jays' ALCS roster after neither were included on the ALDS roster.

Mariners right-hander George Kirby is expected to start against Blue Jays righty and former AL Cy Young Award-winner Shane Bieber when the AL Championship Series shifts to Seattle for Game 3 on Wednesday.

Blue Jays outfielder Nathan Lukes left Game 1 of the AL Championship Series against Seattle on Sunday after bruising a knee. Lukes fouled a ball off his right knee in the first, falling in pain, but stayed in the game and drew a 12-pitch walk.
