The third round of the U.S. Open on June 14 at the Oakmont Country Club will begin at 9:12 a.m. when Philip Barbaree tees off as a single player, due to an odd number making the 7-over cut. The last twosome of leader Sam Burns (3-under) and J.J. Spaun (2-under) will tee off at 3:35 p.m.

Phil Mickelson's 34th appearance at the U.S. Open was short-lived. The six-time runner-up shot a second straight 4-over 74 to miss the cut at Oakmont by a stroke.
Burns, a 28-year-old from Louisiana, has five PGA Tour titles, the last one more than two years ago. Despite that, he leads the quartet under par through 54 holes.
