A young man, who was approximately in his late teens, died after he was rescued from Lake Michigan at the Illinois Beach State Park near Zion Tuesday evening, fire officials said.

He was taken to Weiss Memorial Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, according to police and the Cook County Medical Examiner’s office.
