A shelter-in-place order was lifted Thursday evening for residents near a wildfire that started early in the day along Interstate 5 in northern Los Angeles County. The order included a recreational-vehicle park near the King Fire’s ignition site. Beyond the shelter-in-place zone, evacuation warnings were issued.
King Fire initially started today at 1:04 a.m. in Los Angeles County, California. After being active for 17 hours, it has burned 577 acres. By Thursday evening, 40% of this fire was brought under containment. However, the cause is still under investigation.
