Coming off a tremendous 2024 season in which he was named runner-up to Shohei Ohtani for the Most Valuable Player Award, Lindor is hoping to lead the Mets to the promised land this season, bolstered by the arrival of Juan Soto and the resurgence of Pete Alonso.

While it was not a strong showing for the Mets in Minnesota, the team showed some signs of life. They recorded 10 hits in Wednesday's loss, and one of those by Mets superstar shortstop Francisco Lindor made history. Lindor now has the longest opponent hitting streak in Target Field history.
