Nicole Carlisle, a meteorologist with the weather service’s Tampa Bay office, said the storms are likely to arrive Sunday evening. The thunderstorms bring the threat of damaging winds and an isolated tornado or two. The weather service expects up to an inch of rain from the storms.

A storm system rolling through the Bay Area Wednesday has triggered a severe thunderstorm warning for San Francisco and parts of the Peninsula.

Storms in the Green Bay area are being considered severe, as winds could be as high as 32 miles per hour on Friday, as well as 36 miles per hour Saturday afternoon. Gusts up to 45 mile per hour are possible at times.
