New York City mayoral candidates Zohran Mamdani and Brad Lander have cross-endorsed each other in a bid to keep ex-governor Andrew Cuomo out of office.
Comptroller Brad Lander and Queens Assemblyman Zohran Mamdani made the announcement Friday morning. The move is not particularly surprising. The two say their joint commitment is an effort to unite against former Gov.
Zohran Mamdani, the socialist mayoral candidate for New York City, is catching up to Andrew Cuomo in the polls for the Democratic primary. Mamdani, 33, is currently a New York assemblymember and has been running a grassroots campaign largely against former Governor Cuomo.
The PAC said the image was released without its consent. A Cuomo spokesperson called the picture "absurd and disrespectful."
Zohran Mamdani and Brad Lander — have cross endorsed each other in a last-ditch attempt to take down frontrunner Andrew Cuomo. The new coalition comes a day before early voting is set to start and just 11 days before the primary as the field of flailing campaigns make their last ditch attempts to be relevant contenders.
